Jerome Moss is an Akron native who graduated from Akron Firestone High School. Jerome attended Malone University where he received a two-sport scholarship. While competing in collegiate sports Jerome received All-Conference honors in Football and Basketball. After graduating from Malone University Jerome began working within the Akron Public Schools system serving our youth in various capacities. Upon finishing his Master of Arts in Sports Science/Coaching with a concentration in Sport Administration degree, at The University of Akron, he continued to serve youth and the community of all ages and backgrounds through sports mentoring, motivational and educational empowerment. A personal goal that Jerome has is to inspire and assist many young men and women in becoming responsible individuals in society and because of this he began to commit himself to groups and organizations targeting these at-risk youth. Moreover, Jerome served as the Head Coach for The University of Akron Wayne College Women’s Basketball Team (7 years) and currently is an Adjunct Instructor at The University of Akron Wayne College teaching in the Exercise Science and Wellness Education Department. Jerome serves youth advocate-mentor for The East Akron YMCA mentoring program (10 yrs) and serves the community as a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist at Families First Health Services which is a community mental and behavioral health agency in the Akron area.
